How to Become a Member of CGGE
We are a non-juried glass group that is open to everyone who uses glass creatively as their medium in stained glass, mosaic, fused, lampwork, cast, and sand etched. We strive to create a team with diverse backgrounds and wide-ranging levels of success & experience. skill levels.
We accept requests for membership on an ongoing basis but only add new members once a quarter.
What do you get for your membership?
The CGGE does not impose fees on it's members and donations made to promotional
inititaitives is optional. We have an active website and blog where we will promote
your Etsy shop. There is also a lively forum on our wbsite just for our members
to share information about glass, Etsy and so much more. Our members are friendly
and willing to give advice to other glass artists. We havbe fun challenges and promotions
open to all members.
Participation is a REQUIREMENT; the level of participation
is your option.
Applicants must:
- Have been on Etsy for more than 6 months
- Have five or more glass items in their shop
- Must be a glass artist working in lampwork, fused, cast, mosaic, sand etched or stained glass
- Have nothing contentious in their Announcement or listings including false claims or copying
- Have positive feedback
- Sign up to the CGGE forum within 3 days of acceptance
- Log into the forum within one week on receipt of activation email
- Post a message in the CGGE Forum
Applicants will be on probation for one month before final acceptance of membership and agree to follow all the membership guidelines during probation. At the end of the probation period you will be added to the members page on CGGE.org and Etsy's team page.
All MEMBERS MUST
- Post in the CGGE forums a minimum of once every 2 months
- State they are a member of the CGGE either in the shop announcement or profile on Etsy
Members should also agree to try to participate the following:
- Join in Saturday meetings in Etsy chat room
- Join in the CGGE glass challenges
- Post images on the CGGE Flickr groups
- Join in the daily team chat thread on Etsy
- Join in the daily promotional thread on Etsy
- Make CGGE treasuries
- Sign up to help a promotion
We understand that these criteria for membership may seem rather daunting but you will appreciate that organising an active and popular team such as the CGGE takes a lot of hard work and we will really value your input.
