Janurary Challenge!
Recycled It's a small planet. And many of us are trying to conserve resources, use less water and fuel, support fair trade and ethical businesses, live a little lighter. So our challenge for the month is to create glass art by recycling. Pilfer the recycling bin and put those wine bottles in the kiln or under the torch. Grandma's cut-glass butter dish, all chipped, could be made into lovely crystal-clear beads. Wine-bottle-bottoms make pretty good rondels for a stained-glass window. Gather up your fused "uglies" from the reject pile and make something new and cool. (Maybe a pot melt? Or take a hammer and turn them into confetti frit!)
We have been busy rumaging through the trash bins and creating. Take a look at what some of our members have been able to creat so far. Check back often as we add more recycled projects to the list!
